Camminata Consapevole is a small photography project inspired by the practice of mindfulness. It was born during a summer spent in the city for the first time, when the heat, the emptying streets, and the stillness of the buildings evoked a sense of unease. From this feeling came the decision to follow a simple practice: to step outside, walk, observe the colors in the surroundings, and choose one to seek along the way.
This mindful exercise brought a sense of calm and recalled the “red exercise” described by Franco Fontana in his book Creative Photography (2016), where the photographer suggests focusing exclusively on the color red during a walk as a way to train the eye and sharpen perception.

That day, the sunlight was so strong that the colors looked striking.
What caught the eye most was the play of shadows, the contrasts of light, and how they blended with the shapes of the city.
